Privacy Policy
Pixelstar ("the app", "we", "our") is a space-shooter game developed by an independent developer. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and what choices you have. Pixelstar does not require an account and does not have its own backend server — almost everything about how you play stays on your device.
Information we collect
The app itself collects and stores only this, locally on your device:
- The pilot nickname you choose at login. This is never transmitted anywhere — it's stored only in the app's local storage on your device, purely so the game remembers you between sessions.
- Your in-game progress — coins, unlocked ships, upgrade levels, and settings — also stored only locally on your device.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information ourselves, and the app has no way to identify you as a real-world person.
Third-party services
Pixelstar uses the following third-party services to show ads and process optional in-app purchases. Each operates under its own privacy policy, linked below, and each may collect data independently of the app itself — primarily device and advertising identifiers used for showing and measuring ads, and payment processing for purchases.
| Service | Purpose | Their policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Shows the rewarded video ads you can optionally watch (e.g. to revive, double coins, or open a crate). May use advertising identifiers for ad delivery, frequency capping, and measurement. | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Play Billing | Processes optional in-app coin purchases. Pixelstar never sees or stores your payment details — Google Play handles the entire transaction. | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Play Services | Underlying platform services required for the app to run on Android and for the above to function. | policies.google.com/privacy |
Where required by applicable law (for example, in the EEA and UK), the app requests your consent before showing personalized ads, via Google's User Messaging Platform consent flow, before any ad request is made.
Data we don't collect
- No account registration or login credentials of any kind
- No access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or precise location
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs beyond what's disclosed above
- No sale of personal data, ever
Children's privacy
Pixelstar is not directed at children under 13 and is not designed to appeal primarily to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us using the details below and we'll address it.
Data retention & deletion
Your local game data (nickname, progress, settings) stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling the app removes it. Since we never receive this data ourselves, there's nothing on our end to delete — any data held by the third-party services above is governed by their own retention policies.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above and, for material changes, note it in the app's store listing update notes.
